Project for the next week

Things to do in the coming week:

1) Buy a handsfree cellphone adapter, since the law in California requires me to use one if I wish to drive while on my phone, in spite of the fact that there is no difference in accident-risk no matter how you are talking on your cellphone.

2) Buy a gun, since my man Antonin has my back and won't let anyone take away my AK.

Scallop (that's what I call him) allows you to man your rifle but won't let your next door neighbor come over to give you a blow job since in his jurisdiction THAT would be against the law.

whatever happened to states rights...(although D.C. is not a State) assume this same law applied in massachusetts. You would still get the same verdict, but what's up with the judicial activism then?

What's interesting is that yesterday conservatives were up in arms because, by ruling the death penalty out in cases of child rape, the Court had taken away the people's legislative privileges. But today no one seems to be worried about the people's right to pass legislation limiting the possession of handguns. It's odd which kinds of activism matter.

what amazes me with the death penalty case is there were actually 4 sociopaths on the Court who wanted to kill somebody because a young person was raped, not killed. I thought it would go 7-2 at best against Louisiana's law

I think the Scallop Court was saying this:

o.k. we have given you a gun. Now go use it against your son's rapist.... . Wink Wink....
